The Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC) is primarily responsible for researching social sciences, collecting materials for the Royal Government, and strengthening the role of education and research from undergraduate to doctoral courses.
The RAC is a leading institution for the development of Cambodia, strengthening and expanding the nation's academic studies for international recognition. Its mission includes 1) managing and expanding research in all fields, 2) organizing science and education forums to help national development in all fields, 3) publishing research papers and findings in their own language to the general public, 4) collecting and storing Cambodian research papers in the region and around the world, 5) reviewing and evaluating scientific research achievements, and 6) contributing to promoting national development through review and evaluation of social development.
In addition, the RAC’s academic committee serves as a high-level organization that brings together Cambodian intellectuals.
The RAC is currently cooperating with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Korea), the Chinese Confucius Center, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Busan University of Foreign Studies (Korea), Changwon University (Korea), Kanto University (Vietnam) and the Bangladesh Institute for International Strategy.
