     The Faculty of Law offers Bachelor Degree in Law, Postgraduate Certificate in Law, Master Degree in Law in both Chinese and Portuguese Languages, and Doctor Degree in Law in Chinese, Portuguese and English Languages. The Faculty also offers Postgraduate Certificate and Master Degree in European Union Law, International Law and Comparative Law and Postgraduate and Master in International Business Law in English Language. The teaching of Law in Macau at University level began in the academic year of 1988/1989, after the Sino-Portuguese Joint Declaration, with the establishment of the Bachelor of Law Degree in Portuguese Language and it was integrated in the Faculty of Law of the University of Macau in 1991.

     Our Bachelor Degree Programs provide students with a thorough understanding of the legal system of Macau and enable them to successfully conduct legal practice and research locally or abroad, and the purpose of both Master's and Doctor Programs is to intensity graduates' expertise in law. Our academic staff is recruited from Macau, Mainland China, Portugal and other countries and regions. The Bachelor Degree Program in Chinese Language (evening) was established in the Faculty of Law in the academic year of 1996/1997.  The Bachelor Degree Program in Chinese Language (daytime) was established in the Faculty of Law in the academic year of 2000/2001. A great majority of our local graduates have engaged themselves in careers such as judges, procurators, lawyers, public notaries and leaders or as jurists in the Macau Public Administration.
